Basic Ribbit
|
Basic
Ribbit, Fugro Pelagos' off-line data processing and
data management software, works in tandem with all
WinFrog integrated navigation system software to allow
the user to access and manipulate large quantities
of raw data collected by WinFrog, then edit and output
the data in clean, formatted ASCII text files or AutoCAD-compatible
DXF graphics files.
Contained within a single software
environment, these basic functions are easily accessible
through simple and intuitive software controls that
allow non-specialists, with a very basic understanding
of the data and AutoCAD program, to produce relatively
complex data plots directly from WinFrog raw data
files.

Features |
| >> |
A raw file manager that
collates WinFrog raw data files, extracts specified
data types contained within them and inputs these data
types into the Ribbit database |
| >> |
Imports tide
data from specified external files into the Ribbit database |
| >> |
Saves and retrieves
the layout information for a specific type of map to
a map configuration file |
| >> |
Converts geographic
data from the raw GPS data records recorded by WinFrog
into any specified grid coordinate system, under any
WinFrog-supported ellipsoid |
| >> |
A data deskewing
/ merging function that creates new data types by linearly
interpolating between data types that reside in the
Ribbit database, allowing complete control over the
interpolation process |
| >> |
A data correction
function that allows additive or multiplicative corrections
to be applied to any data type in the Ribbit database |
| >> |
A fully, interactive
data editor and viewer that allows the graphical display
of any data loaded into the Ribbit database and the
on-screen, geographical editing of invalid data using
mouse selection (invalid data is "grayed-out"
and labeled "edited-out", not deleted, so
it may be re-inserted if required) |
| >> |
An ASCII file
output function that offers many options, including
which data to include, the precision of the output data,
the format of time-stamp on the data and the ASCII field
separator used; the resulting ASCII file is written
to a user-selected file name and location |
| >> |
A DXF file output
function |
