WinFrog Seismic Marine is a powerful, real-time software navigation tool developed to address the positioning and navigation needs of the demanding seismic industry. In one small, powerful package, it provides the versatility and functionality to support OBC, Transition Zone and Streamer surveys for marine operations.

WinFrog Seismic Marine supports operations on any vessel involved in Transition Zone (TZ) and Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) operations. These typically include at least one gun boat, a recording boat, any number of cable boats and support boats. A proprietary wireless telemetry network enables all vessels to track and monitor each other. In addition, a single WinFrog Seismic Marine system can control the operation of WinFrog Seismic Marine on any other vessel in this network. This provides enhanced safety and operational efficiency.

WinFrog Seismic Marine supports simple single and dual streamer modeling and positioning for 2D seismic surveys. If positioning systems are employed to position the head and tail of the streamer(s), a rigorous least squares adjustment is applied to calculate the position of each receiver position. If a tail buoy positioning system is not available, an open ended traverse is used to calculate the receiver positions. Heading and depth data for streamer segments is obtained from compass and depth birds. The streamer modeling is easily configurable.
